Lee Bradley Brown

Lee (Bradley) Brown was a Briton allegedly beaten to death by Dubai police.[1] He had been arrested at the Burj Al Arab hotel, part of the Jumeirah Group, after being accused of physically and verbally abusing a female staff member.[2] The Foreign Office confirmed that Brown, from Ilford, Essex, had died in custody.[3]

Lee was born in east London on the 18th June 1971, the third of four children to Doris and Vic Brown. He went to Godwin Junior School in Forest Gate, then Rokeby Secondary School. Later, when the family moved to Devon, he went to Kingsteignton Secondary School.[4]

He was arrested shortly after he arrived in Dubai and died, badly beaten, in custody at Bur Dubai Police Station on 12th April 2011 while in the care of the Dubai Police Force.
